Effective IMMEDIATELY - If you have an in-house activity, and there is a test that day, you MUST come to class for the test (we will let you leave right after the test)! If you don't, it's a ZERO! If you have a game or a field trip on the day of a test, you must take it on an earlier day (either after school or at lunch - no more making up tests during class time). If you don't, it's a zero.
You know that Mrs. Curbelo and I would do ANYTHING to support you...and that we have really been trying to work around your schedule the last few weeks to facilitate your needs...but we just can't do it anymore. So just as we make YOU and YOUR LEARNING a priority, you need to make YOUR LEARNING a priority.
Know that we love you...ALWAYS!
Extra credit, BTW, for anyone that can tell me which syntactical structure I used :)
You used chiasmus when you said " So just as we make you and your learning a priority, you need to make your learning a priority." because in the second half if the sentence you balanced it with the first but with the parts reversed.
ReplyDeleteYou used conjunction because you used but, so and that.
ReplyDeleteNicole franco period 3: Anaphora : (if you, if you, if you...)
ReplyDeleteYou used epiphora with "your learning a priority" repeated twice in the last sentence :)

Period 5
You used anaphora. For every beginning sentence in the first paragraph you said "If you" , repeating it again and again
ReplyDeleteYvana Vasquez
Per. 3 :)
you used anaphora, since you used "If you..." in the beginning of each sentence in the first paragraph.

Period 1
I'm with Nicole on this one. You repeated "if you" at the beginning of each of the four sentences in your first paragraph. :]
ReplyDeleteYeah, Im with Nicole and Flavia. You repeated "if you" at the beginning of each sentence of the first paragraph, using Anaphora :)
ReplyDeleteYeah same here ^ you used anaphora for "if you" when it was stated four times in the first paragraph :)
ReplyDeleteAnaphora because you kept using "if you" at the beginning of each sentence in the first paragraph(:

Period 1
Anitra from fifth period said you used anaphora. "if you" at the beginning of each sentence in the first paragraph and pathos when you emphasized how much you loved us and how you emphasized the word anything.
